Position Title: Kid City Attendant

Department: Kid City

Reports To: Youth Activity Director

Supervises/Direct Reports: N/A

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Youth Activity Director, they are responsible for daily operations of Kid City as well as assisting with activity in the Teen Clubhouse. They must ensure the safety of all children at Kid City while keeping the children engaged and having fun. They must fulfill all administrative duties given by the Youth Activity Director. All rooms used must be cleaned by this position appropriately after each activity. Welcome all children and their guardians to Kid City being respectful to both at all times.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise children ages 2 years through 9 years making sure their first priority is the children's safety.
  2. Stay alert and involved in all Kid City activities assuring that the children are having fun while still being safe.
  3. Follow and enforce all club policies and procedures.
  4. Be aware of children's health concerns. ex. Allergies
  5. Develop daily activities for all ages that come to Kid City.
  6. Supervise and assist with activities in the Teen Clubhouse.
  7. Maintain positive relationships with children, parents and guardians.
  8. Talk to parents or guardians about any concerns they may have had with their child that day.
  9. Accept reservations for Kid City and enter them into the reservation log.
  10. Charge members using Jonas software.
  11. Clean-up after all activities and make sure to keep Kid City areas generally clean at all possible times.
  12. Possess a professional behavior and appearance appropriate with children and adults.
  13. Work on any appropriate projects assigned by the Youth Activity Director.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2 years' experience working with children (day care center or school)
  • First Aid and CPR certified preferred
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Proficient communication skills (must be able to communicate friendly but firmly with children, parents and staff)
  • General Microsoft Word and Point-of-Sale knowledge required
